Who is JÄGER kreativ and what market does it serve?

JÄGER kreativ is a print shop in the Hunsrück, a rural upland region in western Germany. Its store, jaeger-kreativ.de, is written in German and sells to private customers across Germany. The catalogue visible on 2026-10-01 is built around life events rather than paper formats: death notices as cards and letters; funeral thank-you cards; memorial pictures, the small cards handed out at a service; condolence pictures and memorial canvases; memorial, birthday and wedding newspapers; and occasion banners, including one for a child's first day at school.

The businesses named in these case studies are Netbase JSC clients; the web-to-print work described was delivered or designed by Netbase JSC, which operates Web2Print Solutions. Names, links and screenshots are shown with the operator's authorization and removed on request.

What problem did the store need to solve?

Memorial print is an unforgiving niche. A family orders a death notice or memorial picture within days of a loss, usually without design software, and names, dates, verse and photograph must be exactly right; a mistake cannot be reprinted after the service. The same shop also sells cheerful products, such as a birthday newspaper full of old photos.

Both need an editor that starts from a finished template, lets the customer change only what should change, produces a print file the shop can trust, and lets the customer check the result before the full run.

What did Netbase JSC deliver over seven years?

Netbase JSC's project records classify the jaeger-kreativ.de work as a custom web-to-print project. It qualifies as custom work under Netbase JSC's own rule: the client was scoped through proposals and paid for service work, separate from any product purchase. The records hold 23 project milestones between October 2019 and August 2026, one of the longest custom engagements in this set of case studies. This page does not list them; it describes what a visitor can see today.

JÄGER kreativ product page for a personalised A4 newspaper with a design button and links to design help, a sample and a print file, prices blurred

On a product page the customer chooses a design button, which opens the online editor on the product's template, or a file upload for finished artwork, with links to design help, a sample and a print file specification.

Worked example: a memorial picture. The memorial picture product on 2026-10-01 is a two-sided portrait card, 7.0 by 10.5 cm, on 135 g matt paper. Before designing, the customer chooses:

  • Production time

A standard turnaround or a faster one.

  • Output

A personalised sample card sent by post, carrying a watermark, or a high-resolution, print-ready PDF sent by email.

  • Quantity

A list of quantity steps, with a discount that grows with the run.

The watermarked sample lets a family hold the real card before committing to the full run. The newspapers push the editor further: an A4 saddle-stitched booklet of 8 to 32 pages needs a multi-page layout, not a single card.

Netbase JSC maintains reusable web-to-print components - a browser-based online designer, rule-based print pricing templates, print-ready PDF output with CMYK conversion, bleed and trim, storefront connectors for WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix and custom stores, and a photobook and multi-page layout editor - which an engagement may reuse under their own licence terms. The catalogue, texts, verses, prices, discounts, shipping and production belong to JÄGER kreativ.

What does this record show, and what does it not?

It shows a niche German print shop running template-based online design across memorial and occasion products for about seven years, with a sample-or-PDF choice and a multi-page newspaper editor.

It does not show orders, conversion or revenue; none is claimed. It does not attribute every product option on the store to Netbase JSC. Web2Print Solutions is the web-to-print engineering service of Netbase JSC. Delivery records cited on this site belong to Netbase JSC; where no delivered example of a capability is published, the page says so rather than implying a record.

Key takeaways

  • Netbase JSC's records hold a custom web-to-print engagement from October 2019 to August 2026 with 23 milestones.
  • Memorial products offer a watermarked sample card by post or a print-ready PDF before the full run.
  • No order, traffic or sales result is claimed for the store.

Our view

Position of the CEO, Netbase JSC, dated 2026-10-01. Most web-to-print projects are planned as a launch, and the budget ends when the store goes live. We think that is the wrong unit. A niche store earns its value in the years after launch, when the shop learns which templates customers actually use, which options cause mistakes and which products deserve their own editor. Twenty-three recorded milestones over almost seven years is the shape we want a custom engagement to have: small, scoped steps that each end in something shipped, rather than one large rebuild every few years.

How could a similar project start?

If you sell personalised or memorial print, send a project brief that lists your five busiest templates, the fields a customer may change on each, and whether you send proofs or samples today. Multi-page products such as newspapers follow the logic on the photobook and multi-page editor page, and memorial canvases are covered under canvas print with 3D preview. Option rules belong in a print product configurator, and the file checks in print-ready PDF and prepress automation. See also WooCommerce web-to-print, live web-to-print stores and the evidence hub.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Open a newspaper or memorial picture and press the design button; no account or order is needed.

Market pages are added only when a country's tax, address, carrier and payment rules justify one. This case study stands on its own as a delivery record.
